Manitoga by Russel Wright ( 1904-1976)

The estate Manitoga, is where Russel Wright designed his house and studio after being inspired by a trip to Japan. This organic modern architecture is located near Bear Mountain, and was completed in 1960. He lived there until his death in 1976.

While visiting this beautiful place, you will be enveloped by the peace and serenity of the environment, inside and outside of the property. The nature and his architecture are completely in symbiosis. Russel Wright has been creative and meticulous about each detail he designed for his home. Everything was thought out and planned, sometime with a great sense of humor.

I had such a good time, I recommend you to check their web site and plan your guided tour at www.visitmanitoga.org
